Welcome to Northeast Maillefest 2009!

Northeast Maillefest is a chainmail crafters convention, open to everyone. It is held yearly, historically the last Saturday in July. It takes place in the glorious natural surroundings of Thacher State Park in upstate New York, overlooking the astonishing Helderberg Escarpment.

It's just a bunch of maillers getting together in a location central to the northeast to compare notes, show/explain/brag about their wares, and have some fun. Be prepared to make A LOT of maille, if past years are any indication.

Bring anything you like, machinery, tools, jewelry, armor... We want to see it all!

The Fest itself will be all day Saturday (9 AM til dusk) at Thatcher State Park. We will have a picnic shelter, complete with barbecue apparatus and activities (hiking, ball field, volleyball court, etc...).

We will have campgrounds reserved less than three miles from the picnic shelter both the night before and the night after, for inexpensive accommodations. Plan on a bonfire at the sites after we get kicked out of the shelter!

Thanks for making this year's Fest the biggest, best, and most oddball one ever! It was fantastic to see you all, and I hope everyone had a most excellent time!

John Boyd Thacher State Park, in Eastern New York State (20 Minutes southwest of Albany), with the campsites 2.5 miles away at Thompson's Lake State Park - Campsites 70 and 71, so far...

Horseshoe I Pavilion

Event:	$13 per attendee (plus $6 per car at the park gate)
Campsites:	$10 per person (plus $6 per car at the park gate). Campers must pay ahead of time, so we can get the right number of sites.
Note:	Those who buy parking at the campsite can reuse the sticker at the main park, so no one has to pay twice to park...
